Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy for WaterWag.org

WaterWag.org respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This policy outlines the procedures that WaterWag.org follows when handling copyright infringement claims in accordance with the DMCA.

Notification of Copyright Infringement:

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been infringed upon on WaterWag.org, please notify us by sending a written notification to our designated Copyright Agent. Your notification should include the following information:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

  7. Include a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if outside the United States, to the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of such person.

Counter-Notification:

If you believe that your material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our designated Copyright Agent. Your counter-notification should include the following information:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if outside the United States, to the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of such person.

Repeat Infringers:

WaterWag.org reserves the right to terminate user accounts or access to the website for users who repeatedly infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
